Each year the Point4Fitness puts together this high energy, high impact event to raise funds and awareness for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, and the importance of heart health.
How much do you know about heart health, and are you at risk? The Heart Institute has a wonderful resource centre. See the link below to find out what risk factors there are, and what you can do to limit their effects on your health.
So, what is the Point for Prevention, and what can you do to participate? It is a fun filled day where you get the chance to try spinning, (if you haven’t before), meet some new people, support a wonderful institution, be a part of something fun in the community! You can register for a bike, which has a minimum donation of $30 required, and you can also have the chance to win some amazing door prizes, and of course the chance to have some self-care from some of your team at Sage!! Lucy our resident Physiotherapist will be offering 15 minute manual therapy treatments between 9-12 to participants, and KTaping if needed. Then in the afternoon Krista and Jason, two of our amazing RMTs will be offering 15 minute treatments between 12-4 to participants. 100% of the proceeds from these treatment will be going straight to the Heart Institute!
