My goal with every treatment is to help you create a sense of peace in your body that you can carry into the other parts of your life.<\/p>\n<p>My treatment style can best be described as \u201ctherapeutic relaxation.\u201d I have the knowledge and the tools to help address your aches and pains, but my overarching goal is always to help regulate your nervous system.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Years of teaching Yoga gave me an intuitive understanding of breath, movement, and tension patterns in the body, while my massage therapy training deepened my knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics. All of this is supported by my innate desire to communicate openly and work in a trauma-informed manner.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In my journey to understand the full impact of stress and anxiety on the body, I\u2019ve taken a particular interest in issues including tension headaches, jaw dysfunction, and chronic pain.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Taking care of my own physical and mental health is what allows me to be fully present with clients in the treatment room. That desire came to fruition during my years of swim instructing and personal training. I believe that everyone can reach a healthy balance through self-care, determination, and proper guidance. I love how easy it is to get around the city on a bicycle three seasons of the year, how close a hike can be, and the amount of green space we have. I think the canal is the perfect spot for a jog, or a walk with friends, and even the odd skate in the winter. I am a visual artist, and you might have even seen some of my art hanging on the walls in a few treatment rooms. I have a deep deep(!) love of dogs and am constantly wondering what we did to deserve them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Teresa brought me in many moons ago, all hard edges and efficiency from working as a server and bartender. She helped me develop my skills running this business and has shown me that being good in this industry isn&#8217;t about being competitive and pushy. That compassion and empathy can take you even further. There is enough space of all of us, and if we work together supporting one another, we will be the best we can be.
